Character Bios

Taíno – Intelligent, but socially awkward, Taíno tries his best to maneuver the social maze that is middle-school in the Caribbean. But the line between what Taíno reads in his books and reality is oftentimes blurred and Taíno finds himself in historical predicaments where he must choose between inaction or bravery to save the world.

Seth - Once Taíno's arch-rival, Seth is Taíno's unlikely intrepid and careless best friend. As Taíno's perfect foil, Seth never shies away from a good adventure and pushes Taíno to see and experience the world as he does. Their symbiotic relationship is strong but is tested as they experience the difficulties facing middle schoolers today.

Jessica - A recent immigrant from The Dominican Republic, Jessica's family pushes her to succeed academically. The result is a strong-willed girl who is Taíno's academic nemesis and sometime friend. Completing the trio, she often joins Taíno and Seth on their adventures.
